Project details

As a non-profit, grant-funded organization, Global Environmental Management Education Center was looking to redesign their existing website in order to better spread awareness on various environmental topics. The main goals were to provide an updated, more organized look and to increase user interactivity.

The only guideline for the redesign was that it had to be easily editable by office staff using Dreamweaver. For this reason, basic HTML, CSS, and jQuery were used to design the site. All markup was written to be semantic and standards-compliant to ease editing and allow for future flexibility.

A WordPress.com hosted blog was also created and custom-themed to match the new website design.

The new site is much cleaner, easier to use, and more inviting than the old, outdated one. The addition of the blog is a critical step in helping the company improve its interaction with users (see image 5 above).

View the site live

A live version of the website will be up shortly. In the mean time, you can view the old version of the Global Environmental Management website.

You can also view the current state of the new website (but please keep in mind that it is still a work in progress).
